July 14
Reconnecting creative communities
The International Biennale of Casablanca, in partnership with the American Arts Center, is pleased to invite you to an informal get-together on Thursday July 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Marking the resumption of the biennial’s activities, this event will aim to renew dialogue with the artistic community, introduce the Biennale’s theme, as well as the artists and projects of the November 2022 and February 2023 program. This meeting will also be an opportunity to imagine together how the Biennale can best benefit the Casablanca and Moroccan art scene and society, and to consider avenues of collaboration with local cultural actors.
Interventions by artistic director Christine Eyene, associate curator Selma Naguib, and artist Khadija Tnana will open up conversations and exchange of ideas with the public.
The evening will conclude with a cocktail.
The Biennale will also hold portfolio reviews—with Christine Eyene and Selma Naguib—on Friday July 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This review session is designed to offer Moroccan or resident artists the opportunity to present works likely to integrate the program of the Biennale. For more information, please visit the Biennale website.
